ALBANY, NY --- The Mop & Bucket Company presents an evening of improvised
theatre, Friday, April 20 & Saturday, April 21, 8 p.m. at the Steamer No. 10
Theatre, 500 Western Avenue, Albany.  With a little help from the audience, MopCo
will perform improvised scenes and songs, which occassionally includes audience
onstage participation.  MopCo’s new long-form, the “Tapestry,” discovers the rich
blend of comedy and pathos.

“The way members of MopCo lit up, one after another, during performances,” said
Davide Sheperd,  “was as if a switch was being handled – [a] sign of a great
ensemble.”

Another audience member, Sharon Varney, said "Talk about thinking on your feet --
really funny stuff."

The Mop & Bucket Company (MopCo) is the Capital Region’s premiere improvisational
theatre company, dedicated to creating spontaneous, one-of-a-kind entertainment
for audiences of all kinds.  Known for its eclectic mix of short and long form
improv, MopCo performs both tried-and-true formats like Theatresports ™ (improv
as a competitive sport) and Spontaneous Broadway (full-length improvised
musicals), and original formats like Tapestry (free-form theatrical Jazz) and Our
Town Today (community-based improv that explores current events and issues).
MopCo’s performers, in addition to being professional actors and improvisers, are
renowned teachers, consultants, directors and playwrights.
