<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; tab-stops: 2.75in"><BR><FONT size=3><FONT face="Times New Roman">The Village Stage is a member of TANYS, the Theater Association of New York State, and we had our final performance of <B><I>Earnest</I> </B>adjudicated. Our spring production of <FONT class=yshortcuts><B><I>The Importance of Being Earnest</I></B></FONT> has been awarded a <B><U>Roving Adjudicator Merit</U></B><U> <B>Award</B></U><B> </B>for: <B><FONT style="COLOR: green" color=green>"Excellence in Performance".</FONT></B> </FONT></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; tab-stops: 2.75in"><FONT size=3><FONT face="Times New Roman"></FONT></FONT> </P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3>A Merit Award of Excellence is issued to the whole or part of the whole of a theatrical event or production considered by the adjudicator to be of exceptional merit surpassing the norm.</FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT style="mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt" size=1><FONT face="Times New Roman"></FONT></FONT> </P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3> According to our adjudicator, Laura Andruski:</FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3>"This was a terrific example of ensemble performance generally not seen in a community theater production. My compliments to the director, Rachel Sheffer, for her casting acumen and ability to stage one of the Theater's most beloved works in a most delightful and charming manner. </FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT style="mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt" size=1><FONT face="Times New Roman"></FONT></FONT> </P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT face="Times New Roman" size=3>Kudos also to the cast: John Pennock, Andrew Robinson, Christopher Kowalski, Criss Macaione, Rebekah Sheffer, Marlene Conlon, Barbara Lindsay, <FONT class=yshortcuts>William Sanderson</FONT> and Shawn Maloy for their excellent performance of <FONT class=yshortcuts>Oscar Wilde</FONT>'s comic masterpiece."<BR><BR>We were also invited to perform at the 2008 TANYS Festival, which will take place November 21, 22 and 23 at the Stuart Steiner Theater, Genesee Center for the Arts in <FONT class=yshortcuts>Batavia, New York</FONT>. Formal presentations of this award will be held on Saturday, November 22nd, during the TANYS Festival Awards Banquet. </FONT></P>
