This package will feature an intermission of live harp music and catered deserts between performances. </SPAN></FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=3><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial"><STRONG><EM>Love Letters</EM></STRONG> by A. R. Gurney was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The play centers on just two characters, Melissa Gardner-- </SPAN></FONT><FONT face=Arial size=3><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial"> carefree, artistic and passionate, traditional, in a non-traditional way, and Andrew Makepiece Ladd III-- forthright, boy scout-like, wholesome and true to his values and morals. The two characters age through the years as they read their correspondence to each other. They discuss the hopes and ambitions, dreams and disappointments, victories and defeats that have passed between them throughout their separated lives. It is only at the sad ending that they realize they were really love letters all along. The play will feature Spotlight Board member Eric Shovah as the elder Andrew, partnered with Gail Garrison as
the elder Melissa. Both actors were featured in the Spotlight summer production of Stephan Sondheim’s <STRONG><EM>Into the Woods</EM></STRONG>. The younger versions of the characters will be portrayed by Adam Coons, who will do double duty in the second show of the evening,</SPAN></FONT></DIV>

<P class=MsoNormal><FONT face=Arial size=3><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial">The Valentine’s Special will open with the first half of our “twofer”, <STRONG><EM>The Harry and Sam Dialogues</EM></STRONG>, which is a wonderful comedy about two life long friends, and the travails their friendship takes through life, marriages, affairs, compromises, forgiveness and understanding. On the surface, <STRONG><EM>The Harry and Sam Dialogues</EM></STRONG> appear to be philosophical discussions between two blue-collar types who are way out of their league, but their discussions are surprisingly lively. They use what they can from their own lives – like a glass of</SPAN></FONT><FONT face=Arial size=3><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial"> milk and Ding-Dongs-- to make sense of what everything means. They discuss all the big questions: Is there life after death? How are men and women different? And, of course, if a tree
falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound? Harry and Sam are old friends who like to pass the time posing outlandish questions to one another. "If ya had the choice would ya rather love a woman whose top half was a fish and whose bottom half was a woman or a woman whose top half was a woman and whose bottom half was a fish?" Harry asks. "Good question," responds Sam. The questions are off the wall, but they slowly reveal the two men's characters, and allow them to take stock of each other while avoiding mundane, but important, life matters. The play by Karen Ellison plays out in a series of dialogues that reveal the true nature of friendship and commitment.
