<DIV>Join us for an afternoon of Indian music as Vidya Subramanian and her 

students discuss, demonstrate and perform classical Indian Carnatic music.</DIV>

<DIV>The event will be held on Saturday, October 31 from 4-6 p.m. at the 

Shenendehowa Adult Community Center (Senior Center) 6 Clifton Common Court, just 

off Vischer Ferry Road, Clifton Park.</DIV>

<DIV>The program will begin with a presentation about the history and 

development of Carnatic music, the name given to the Classical music of southern 

India.  The second segment of the program will consist of a recital on 

vocals by Vidya and her students.</DIV>

<DIV>The event is FREE and open to the public.  It is suitable for all 

ages.</DIV>
