LOST IN YONKERS dramatizes the predicament of two young brothers sent to live
for ten months with their formidable grandmother. Her bitterness toward the
world has damaged all of her own children, but one of them still retains an
indomitable quest for love that leads to an unforgettable confrontation. Filled
with Simon’s characteristic humor as well as many touching moments, the play
remains his only work to have won the Pulitzer Prize.
