today the fall schedule of performances for <i><span style='font-style:italic'>A
Midsummer Night’s Dream, </span></i>a special 70-minute version
Shakespeare’s popular comedy especially adapted for young audiences. The
production launches the 12<sup>th</sup> year of Capital Rep’s On the Go
school tours, which brings curriculum-based theatre works directly into schools
across the Capital Region. </span></font><font size=2><span lang=EN
style='font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%'>One of Shakespeare’s most
popular and oft-performed plays, <i><span style='font-style:italic'>A Midsummer
Night’s Dream</span></i> is a lighthearted romantic comedy that blurs the
line between fantasy and reality. In an Athenian forest, forbidden
lovers, quarrelling fairies and a group of slow-witted laborers all become the
foils of the mischievous imp Puck and his magical love potion. </span></font><font
size=2><span style='font-size:11.0pt;line-height:150%'>The school tour runs
from October 12 -29 and concludes with a public performance on Saturday,
October 30 at 11:00 a.m. at Capital Repertory Theatre located at <st1:Street
w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">111 North Pearl Street</st1:address></st1:Street>
in downtown <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Albany</st1:City></st1:place>.

Night’s Dream</span></i> as this year’s school touring production
for two reasons. First, we try to select plays that support the curriculum
being taught in the schools - a well-rounded education must have a strong
foundation in both modern and classical literature. Second,
Shakespeare’s plays illuminate the human experience. His works stand the
test of time because they are universal, and the issues and situations in the
plays relate to many issues and concerns faced today,” states Laura
Andruski, Capital Rep’s Education Coordinator and Director of the

<i><span style='font-style:italic'>The Snow Queen </span></i>and <i><span

who will perform 15 different roles. The cast includes community veteran favorites,
Kevin Craig West, Stephen Pelletier, Brenny Rabine and newcomer Hillary

fairy whose pranks cause mayhem among the lovers and hilarious consequences
among the mechanical acting troupe when their leading player, Bottom, is
transformed into a donkey. MIDSUMMER marks Mr. Bobersky’s debut

Demetrius and Bottom, the weaver, who is changed into his animal alter-ego, a
donkey, by the playful Puck. Pelletier’s other Capital Rep credits
include an understudy in the holiday show <i><span style='font-style:italic'>Greetings</span></i>
and the beggar in <i><span style='font-style:italic'>The Cherry Orchard</span></i>.
