The Curries worry more about Lizzie’s marriage prospects than their own dying cattle until the arrival a confidence man named Starbuck and his promises to bring rain unleash a series of events that enable Lizzie to see herself in a new light.</span></div><p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:150%"><span style="font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Lucida Grande""> </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Lucida Grande'; font-size: 16px; "><span style="mso-tab-count:1"> </span>N. Richard Nash (1913-2000) was a novelist, screenwriter, playwright, and librettist. THE RAINMAKER, his most celebrated work, was filmed in 1956 starring Burt Lancaster and Katherine Hepburn.
