Musical Theater will present Carousel, Rogers and Hammerstein’s classic

a story by Ferenc Molnar, takes place between 1873 and 1888 in a rugged Maine
fishing village.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The story revolves
around the fragile romance between Billy Bigelow, a drifter, working as a
carnival barker, and Julie Jordan, a local factory worker.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>A somewhat dismal view of the tough
working class life of this era and how they solve their everyday problems
emerges as Billy and Julie encounter difficulties and face the consequences of
their actions.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>However, the show is
filled with plenty of lightheartedness and laughs through the secondary plot
line featuring the playful and witty Carrie Pipperidge and her romance with
ambitious fisherman, Enoch Snow.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</SPAN>Also ensemble numbers that include sailors, children, roustabouts and
townspeople are sure to show a brighter side of life and that these people can
