style="COLOR: black">FORT EDWARD, NY -- William Hickman, a veteran regional
actor in the Capital District in New York State, will play John Adams in
<I>Marriage of True Minds</I> in Fort Edward performances Friday, August 26 at
7:30 p. and Saturday, Aug. 27 at 2:30 p.m. at Fort Edward’s Little Theater on
the Farm. <o:p></o:p></SPAN></B></P>
<P style="TEXT-INDENT: 0.5in; MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=MsoNormal><B><SPAN
style="COLOR: black">Rita Russell, another theater veteran from the Capital
District, has performed in previous productions as Abigail Adams, and will again
join Hickman in these Fort Edward performances. </SPAN></B><SPAN
style="COLOR: black"><STRONG>She and Hickman originated their roles in the 2004
premiere in Whitehall. Russell, a theater director as well, was also an
English teacher in Saratoga Springs. </STRONG></SPAN><SPAN
style="COLOR: black"><STRONG> While the
premiere of the play was in July, 2004 at the unique Bridge Theater in
Whitehall, NY, it has been performed by the same cast in Albany, NY and in
Quincy, MA, where John and Abigail Adams lived and are buried.

style="COLOR: black">The play deals with John and Abigail Adams’ love for each
other and their zeal for liberty maintained throughout 10 years of the American
Revolution despite seven years separation from each other because of John Adams’
duties.<SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 1"> </SPAN><o:p></o:p></SPAN></B></P>

style="COLOR: black">Hickman is also an associate producer of the Community
Action Theater Services, a professional theater company of which Martin P.
Kelly, playwright of “Marriage of True Minds,” is producing artistic director.
Kelly has also served as artistic director during summer seasons at the Bridge
Theater for the past 10 years. <o:p></o:p></SPAN></B></P>

played John Adams several years ago in Atlanta, GA in another event about the

style="COLOR: black"><STRONG>The play’s title,<I> Marriage of True Minds,</I> is
taken from a Shakespearian sonnet, and celebrates the couple’s single-minded
support of the revolution and of each other. Through excerpting their letters,
Kelly’s two-character play provides the audience with a solid glimpse of John
and Abigail’s involvement in the American Revolution.
