<div><font face="arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:13px;background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)">Michael Frayn's AUDIENCE is a hilarious satire about the annoying habits of audience members during theatrical performances. Just as Frayn's NOISES OFF shifted the audience's viewpoint from the events onstage to the events backstage, AUDIENCE turns the focus back onto the audience itself. Keith, a frustrated playwright willing to go to great lengths to get his audience’s attention, sits among a horribly inattentive and rude audience. Members of the quirky audience include Lee, a hormonally imbalanced drama student and his professor Quentin; Merrill, a senile old man on a honeymoon with his young lover Bobbie; Helena, a fretting married woman taking her mother Joan, who is more concerned with drapes than drama, to the theatre; Amanda, a cheating wife attending with her frisky lover Charles; and the family trio of overbearing parents Reginald and Eileen, with their embarrassed daughter Wendy.</span><br>
