C., who is learning some surprising facts about the history of his father, an escaped slave.<br> <br>Circle Theatre Players presents an original production by local playwright, Eric Washburn, of Castleton, NY, titled the "The Legacy of Human Property," on Jan. 27 & 28 at 8pm and Jan. 29 at 2:30pm at the Sand Lake Center for the Arts. The play recounts Charles Nalle's son's visit to Troy in the 1930s to learn about his father and his place in history. Flashbacks depict Charles's journey in life, along with important historical events of the era. Charles Nalle, Sr. was an escaped slave from Virginia who was placed in Sand Lake by the Underground Railroad. He later moved to Troy and was arrested, to be returned to his owner.
