<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Tahoma">The New York State Summer School of the Arts (NYSSSA) <Xxml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceType w:st="on">School</st1:PlaceType> of <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Orchestral Studies</st1:PlaceName></st1:place> will be performing in a Free Concert at SPAC on August 18th at 2pm. SPAC has indicated that attendees of the NYSSSA Performance on August 18th will receive a voucher for that evening's performance of the Philadelphia Orchestra featuring dancers from the New York City Ballet. This voucher will provide attendees with the opportunity to purchase $5 lawn seats (lawn seats will be $27 that night!) </SPAN></P>

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Tahoma"></SPAN><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Tahoma"><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt"><FONT face="Times New Roman">The NYSSSA School of Orchestral Studies is comprised of approximately 115 of <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">New York</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">State</st1:PlaceType>’s finest instrumentalists who spend four weeks at <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Skidmore</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">College</st1:PlaceType> in <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Saratoga Springs</st1:place></st1:City> studying, rehearsing and performing classical repertory.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>A unique partnership between the School and the Philadelphia Orchestra along with the Saratoga Performing Arts Center provides students with an opportunity to study with world-class musicians, while living and working in a professional environment as members of a symphony orchestra.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Under the direction of Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Luis Biava, students work side by side with the Philadelphia Orchestra to make NYSSSA one of the most exciting young musicians’ programs in the country.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Students rehearse and perform a repertoire that parallels that of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and attend regular performances and rehearsals at SPAC.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>They are coached by members of the Philadelphia Orchestra and perform in numerous public concerts.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The concert on SPAC’s Mainstage on August 18, 2012 will conclude the NYSSSA Program.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN></FONT><Xxml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p></SPAN></P></SPAN>
