Much Ado About Nothing By William Shakespeare When a 17th century Italian governor’s estate is visited by a prince and his soldiers, his daughter Hero is soon courted by one of the gallant young men named Claudio. However, the prince’s half-brother Don John, the Common Enemy of all Happy Endings, is determined to stop the wedding. With the nuptials set, and with the estate unaware of Don John’s plans, Claudio and the genial prince turn their attention to igniting a romance between Beatrice and Benedick, both resolutely single and constantly engaged in a war of wits. Scheming, eavesdropping, and mischief ensue.
