10px;"> series kicks off with a performance of William Shakespeare’s </span><i>Twelfth
Night</i><span style="font-size: 10px;">, directed by Kathy Glasser,
at Barker Park in Troy, NY on June 28</span><sup>th</sup><span
style="font-size: 10px;"> at 7:30 PM. This performance is brought to the
community free of charge in association with the City of Troy and Troy
Night Out. </span></p>

<p style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Additional performances of <i>Twelfth
Night</i> will be held at The Arts Center of the Capital Region, 265
River Street, Troy, on June 29<sup>th</sup>, July 12<sup>th</sup>
&13<sup>th</sup> at 8 PM and Sunday June 30<sup>th</sup> at 2 PM.
Indoor performances are $15 for general admission and $13 for Senior

11px;" valign="top"><i>Twelfth Night; or, What You Will</i> is a comedy
by William Shakespeare, believed to have been written around 1601–02 as a
Twelfth Night's entertainment for the close of the Christmas season.
The play expanded on the musical interludes and riotous disorder
expected of the occasion, with plot elements drawn from the short story
"Of Apollonius and Silla" by Barnabe Rich, based on a story by Matteo
Bandello. The first recorded performance was on 2 February 1602, at
Candlemas, the formal end of Christmastide in the year's calendar. The
play was not published until its inclusion in the 1623 First Folio.</td>
