font-family:Arial;color:#262626">Limón regarded Isadora Duncan as his “dance mother,” and this series of solos evokes different periods of her life by intertwining aspects of both her artistic and personal lives. Limón
made one of the solos, “Niobe” (Mourning Mother), on Scanlon. </span><span style="font-size:11.5pt;font-family:Arial;color:black">Scanlon, who attended Juilliard and performed with the Lim</span><span style="font-size:11.5pt;font-family:Arial;color:#262626">ó</span><span style="font-size:11.5pt;font-family:Arial;

font-family:Arial;color:black">Also on the program are three pieces that date back to after Duncan’s time. Doris Humphrey’s “Soaring” (1920) which is the lyric idea of wind, wave and water in the great form of a fleeting veil
and “Waterstudy” (1928) which was the first dance to be done without musical accompaniment.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

former Maestro of Albany Pro Musica. This piece was one of the first she performed under his direction.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

spirit of exploration and the costs of conquest; and “Chocabell,” set to the music of Bach played by area cellist Will Hayes.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
