<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:13pt"> Winner of the Laurence Olivier Best New Comedy
award of 2006, the play is set in 1959 in a military retirement home in France,
where three World War I veterans spend their days joking, bickering, and
generally irritating and entertaining one another. In their youth, the three
men experienced thrilling adventures, but now, seemingly trapped, they can only
contemplate one last great escapade, whether it proves to be a trip to
Indochina, or just a picnic. Stoppard is the author of such eminent works as
<i>ROSENCRANTZ AND GUILDENSTERN ARE DEAD</i> and <i>ARCADIA</i>, and this script crackles
with elegant wit and wordplay.</span></p>
