<DIV align=justify>The Ballston Spa Middle School’s drama club, Launching Pad
Productions is gearing up for its final three performances of this
year’s production of Once Upon a Mattress, a musical fairytale based on “The
Princess and the Pea.” </DIV>
<P align=justify>Featuring a cast of almost 60 students and a crew of almost 70,
Launching Pad is excited to present this musical comedy. The musical features
Olivia Faul as Winnifred the Woebegone, hoping to be able to pass the Queen’s
test of Sensitivity by being unable to sleep upon twenty mattresses stacked upon
each other with one tiny pea beneath the bottom one. The Queen is played by
eighth grader Darby Woodlief, along with her King, played by Harrison Martinez,
her Prince played by Pierce Doud, her Jester, played by Heather Richie and her
wizard played by Kyle Camilli. Eighth graders Camryn Douglas and Alex Hodge play
the featured roles of Lady Larken and Sir Harry and in his first show ever, Ryan
Kent plays the role of the Minstrel, the story’s narrator. <BR><BR>This year’s
show is co-directed by Matt Lopez and Joe Shaver with music direction by
Elizabeth “Cookie” Sears and choreography by Ballston Spa High School alumna,
Brittany Bush. Scenic design by Patrick Ferlo, Lighting Design by Gary
Wilson and Technical director Crispin Catricala work with the crew. Karen
Bunting-Wolsey is the props mistress and costume coordinators Justin Macfarlane
and Sandra Catricala, along with a huge crew of student and parent volunteers,
have been working tirelessly to create a show to remember.</P>
<P align=justify>The show runs February 6th at 7:00 and February 7th at
1:00 and 7:00 at the Ballston Spa High School Auditorium, 220 Ballston Avenue,
Ballston Spa, NY. Tickets are $7.00 each and are available at the door 30
minutes before each performance.</P></FONT></DIV></BODY></HTML>
