SCHENECTADY – Children and families of all ages are invited to
Opera Saratoga’s “Opera to Go” production of The Three Little Pigs
at the Schenectady Civic Playhouse, 12 So. Church Street,
Schenectady, on Saturday, February 28, at 2:30 p.m.

The Three Little Pigs, based on scenes from operas by W.A.
Mozart, is a short, 50-minute opera for young audiences of all
ages. It is free of charge and open to the public. The
performance has been underwritten by Schenectady Civic Players’
Gwen Fraser Fund to give back to the community and excite young
people on the magic of the arts.

While brother pigs Don Giovanni and Cherubino set off to make
their homes of sticks and straw, their sister, Despina, goes to
the library to read up on “huff-proof, puff-proof” home
construction. After Wolfgang Bigbad blows down the boys’ flimsy
homes, they run quickly to their sister’s sturdy new brick house
ready to admit that going to the library and reading books is a
pretty smart thing to do after all!

A cookies and punch reception follows. Admission is free. Open
seating. No advance reservations. 382-2081
