is one of 5 community theatres in New York State nominated for the NY Theatre
Guide’s “Best Community Theatre Award”.<span>

Civic Players found a home at the former Ghent Town hall in 1989 and they have
been a local fixture ever since, presenting five quality shows during each
season which runs from October to June.</font><span><font color="#000000">  </font></span><font color="#000000">The
award-winning play, “</font><i><font color="#000000">The Weir</font></i><font color="#000000">,” by
playwright Conor McPherson, will mark its regional premier when it opens at the
