Season, THE BIRTHDAY PARTY by Harold Pinter, directed by David Girard.</b><span></span></p>

Theatre, 500 Western Avenue, Albany on Friday October 14 at 8:00 pm; Saturday
October 15 at 3:00 pm and 8:00 pm: and Sunday October 16 at 3:00 pm. Admission

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:0.5in;line-height:200%"> <b>A mysterious and spontaneous
birthday party, strange guests and a
supposed celebrant are the ingredients for playwright Harold Pinter to
entertain, challenge and question his audience. An absurdist drama with
overtones both comic and menacing.<span></span></b></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:4.5pt;text-align:justify;line-height:200%"><span style="color:rgb(51,51,51);background-image:initial;background-position:initial;background-size:initial;background-repeat:initial;background-origin:initial;background-clip:initial">Although
the play’s 1958 London premiere was met by bewildered audiences and scathing
reviews, a single rave review that appeared eight days after the production
closed rescued its reputation. In the end, Pinter’s absurdist masterpiece has
endured to become one of the classics of the modern stage.</span><span></span></p>
