Friday, May 5 and runs through Sunday, May 14, at Schenectady Civic Players, 12
South Church Street in Schenectady’s historic Stockade district. </span></p>

“funny and heartwarming play” centers<span>
</span>around </span><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"times new roman","serif"">Mrs.
Savage who has been left ten million dollars by her husband and wants to make
the best use of it, in spite of her step-children’s efforts to have her
committed to “bring her to her senses” and thus gain access to her fortune. The
dominant mood is high comedy, and the audience is left with a feeling that the
neglected virtues of kindness and affection have not been entirely lost in a
world that seems at times motivated only by greed and dishonesty.</span></p>

October 24, 1950, with the legendary actress Lillian Gish in the role of Mrs.
