Conversation with the Creator, Director, and Cast of <i>The Mystery of Edwin Drood</i>. 
Hubbard Hall is thrilled to be producing a new chamber edition of Rupert
Holmes’ Tony Award-winning <i>The Mystery of Edwin Drood</i>, opening
Saturday, November 18 at Hubbard Hall. Creator Rupert Holmes has created a new
version just for Hubbard Hall, with new characters local to our area and plenty
of local references and flavor. “It’s an amazing opportunity to work with an
American Master on his masterpiece and in fact to have him rewrite parts of it
to fit the Hall is a dream come true,” says Hubbard Hall Executive and Artistic
Director David Snider. “We’re thrilled to have Rupert here and can’t wait to
share how this work came together at our Preshow Conversation in Hubbard Hall
on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 11am.” Join a discussion about playing multiple
characters, what it’s like to create a theater within a theater, and how
working with the playwright can enrich the artistic process. It’s a wonderful
opportunity to have all of your questions answered and the event is completely

4 at 7pm Kevin McKrell and his band will be thrilling concert-goers with their
unique Celtic and bluegrass sound! An Irish and Folk Festival top-pick, we are
thrilled to have him and his band here with us at Hubbard Hall. The lineup of
Kevin McKrell's high-energy collective is a who's who of North Country Roots
Music, each player a top draw in their own right. John Kribs plays a variety of
instruments while Orion Kribs impresses with his mandolin playing. Legendary
bass player Arlin Greene (son of Smokey Greene) provides the backbone for
everything from a high-energy bluegrass stomp to one of The McKrells’ Celtic
ballads. Brian Melnick’s percussion is inspiring and Doug Moody of both The
McKrells and The Steam Donkeys provides technically complicated and emotionally
gripping fiddle playing. Kevin McKrell himself has performed throughout the
U.S., Canada, Ireland, Scotland, and Italy. His songs have been covered by
bands all over the world, including The Kingston Trio, The Fureys, Woods Tea
Company, and Hair of the Dog. With each player capable of lead singer status,
the harmony of the vocals is stunning, the energy explosive, and each song a
