Byron Nilsson and Malcolm Kogut Kiss Off 2017
with a Program of Witty Songs

Put the ravages of 2017 behind you with a program of songs ranging
from the apocalyptic to the merely silly, performed by cabaret
stalwarts Byron Nilsson and Malcolm Kogut in their second annual
New Year’s Eve appearance at Steamer No. 10 Theatre, 500 Western
Avenue, Albany NY. It’s a 7 PM show, so you’ll get out early
enough to find another party. And it costs a mere $15, which is
less than you’ll spend on a decent bottle of champagne.

You’ll hear songs by Randy Newman, Noel Coward, Flanders &
Swann, Tom Lehrer, and others, with an unlikely but compelling
intrusion by Vladimir Nabokov. The turn-of-the-(last)-century epic
“Those Wedding Bells Shall Not Ring Out” will chill the blood,
while “Come Home Father” will drive you to drink. And the doomsday
finish is sparked by “20 Tons of TNT.”

Nilsson and Kogut have proven themselves at venues like Caffe
Lena, the Van Dyck, Mohonk Mountain House, the Otesaga Hotel, and
other places where the swells hang out. They also participated in
the first First Nights that Albany held, and like to think that
this performance gives you all the diversity of a First Night
without asking you to freeze your butt off going from place to
place.

Ring in the new year by driving out the old one with us in an
evening of laughter, song, and some comestible surprises. Call
Steamer No. 10 at 518-438-5503 to reserve tickets, or go to
