He arrives late to his hotel and, through a set of crazy circumstances, passes out on his bed after mixing wine with a large dose of tranquilizers. Believing that the comatose opera star is dead, the excitable opera manager <i>Henry Saunders</i> convinces his hapless assistant, an aspiring singer named <i>Max</i>, to suit up in an Otello costume & replace <i>Merelli</i> at tonight’s gala performance. Meanwhile, Merelli’s jealous wife <i>Maria</i>, his ambitious female co-star <i>Diana</i>, Max’s young girlfriend <i>Maggie</i>, the flirtatious head of the opera guild <i>Julia Leverett</i>, and even the hotel’s <i>singing bellhop</i> are on the scene fighting—sometimes literally—for the opera star’s attention.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-top:9.6pt;mso-para-margin-top:.8gd;text-align:justify'><b><span style='color:black'>WHAT:</span></b><span style='color:black'> LEND ME A TENOR by Kenneth Ludwig.
