production of the 2021-22 season, <b>“Voices from the Grave,”</b> will be
performed outside, within the grounds of the famed First Church Cemetery in Old

unique, on-site, outdoor theater production where you’ll meet the people beneath
the headstones in the Old First Church Cemetery. As you are guided from grave
to grave, such Bennington luminaries as </span><span style="color:black">Elijah
Dewey, Elizabeth McCullough and Robert Frost will be brought to life by members
of the Bennington Community Theater.</span><span style="color:black"><span></span></span></p>

of the Bennington Historical Society, the Bennington Museum, the </span><span style="color:black">Bennington Center Cemetery
Association, and the First Congregational Church in this exciting community

the Historical Society, the production consists of dramatic monologues performed
by actors in period dress. Director Ingrid Madelayne describes the event as a
theatrical AND historical experience. “Our goal was to be faithful to the
history of these amazing people, while highlighting their humanity. We wanted
to show the individuals behind the facts, letting them tell their stories in
their own Voices.”<span></span></span></p>

Loyalist spy; a Civil War drummer; a Titanic victim; Vermont’s first socialist,
and many more, all contributors to Bennington’s rich history. Their dramatic
and compelling stories, told by talented local actors, will make history come
