This performance, the fourth & final production of their 2023 Virtual Live-Staged Reading Series, is being presented on Thursday evening December 21<sup>st</sup> 2023 at 7:00pm.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:4.0pt;text-align:justify'><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:4.0pt;text-align:justify'><span style='color:black'>In <b><i>A Christmas Carol</i></b> we meet the ill-tempered miser <i>Ebeneezer Scrooge</i> on Christmas Eve 1850. The melancholy <i>Scrooge</i> finds himself alone at home when he sees before him the ghost of <i>Jacob Marley</i>, his long-time friend &deceased business partner. <i>Marley</i> warns <i>Scrooge</i> that in death he will be punished for all the suffering he has caused others & he has only one chance to escape his fate.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:4.0pt;text-align:justify'><span style='color:black'>That night while <i>Scrooge</i> sleeps he is visited by three ghosts! They are the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Future. The <i>Ghost of Christmas Past</i> takes Scrooge on a journey through Christmases from his own past, where <i>Scrooge</i> sees himself as an unhappy child and a young man more in love with money than his fiancé. The <i>Ghost of Christmas Present</i> shows <i>Scrooge</i> the family life of his long-suffering clerk <i>Bob Cratchit. </i>There <i>Scrooge</i> sees <i>Tiny Tim</i>, who is very ill but full of brave spirit. The ghost then takes <i>Scrooge</i> to see his the Christmas celebration of his nephew <i>Fred</i> – to which he had been invited but that he gruffly declined to attend. Finally, the <i>Ghost of Christmas Future </i>terrifies <i>Scrooge</i> by showing him visions of his own death. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:4.0pt;text-align:justify'><span style='color:black'>These journeys through time teach <i>Scrooge</i> the error of his ways.
