Rehearsals begin o/a 6/21.  Schedule will be Mon-Fri  6-10 PM +
some afternoons (based on availability)   Sat's/Sun's: Daytimes  TBD *Not
all cast members will be needed at every rehearsal. A detailed schedule
will be planned out and conflicts w/rehearsals will be noted*.     NO
REHEARSAL ON 7/4



 *AUDITION INFO:*



PREPARE 32 MEASURES (BRING SHEET MUSIC) IN STYLE OF SHOW, FROM "GOLDEN AGE"
OF MUSICAL THEATRE. MUSIC OF STYNE, R&H, PORTER, BERLIN, COLEMAN, LOESSER,
HERMAN ENCOURAGED. DO NOT CHOOSE CONTEMPORARY ROCK FOR THIS AUDITION. DO IN
WRITTEN KEY, NO TRANSPOSING! YOU MAY SING FROM THE SHOW IF YOU WISH.



COME PREPARED TO DANCE/MOVE.  THOSE WISHING TO BE CONSIDERED FOR
*BABY*JUNE AND FARMBOYS (AGES 15-25) NEED TO BRING TAP SHOES FOR DANCE
CALL



BRING RESUME & HEAD SHOT STAPLED BACK TO BACK.



*BREAKDOWN:*



*ROSE:*  Age range---plays going from early 30's to late 40's.  Huge belter
who can also have the sensitive  approach when needed.  Strong actress
w/both comedic & dramatic skills as well.  Should be good mover ! (Lead)



*HERBIE:*  Age range---40+  Likeable, good natured salesman who will do
anything for Rose and her girls until he gets pushed to his limit.  A
strong actor who sings and can move somewhat too.  (Lead)



*LOUISE:*  Age range ----- goes from 17 to late 20's.  Sensitive actress
who can transform from a shy teen to become Gypsy Rose Lee; burlesque's
biggest star!  Mezzo range able to belt who moves. (Lead)



*DAINTY JUNE:*  Age range---- 16, but appears to be younger as Mama wants
her to be. Good singer/dancer w/strong acting chops.  Alto range
(Supporting)



*TULSA**:*  Age range---- 17 to 22.  Very strong dance ability w/vocal
skills.  One of the Farmboys who gets to standout in *ALL I NEED IS THE
GIRL*.  Should have dance training/experience.  (Supporting)



*TESSIE TURA/MAZEPPA/ELECTRA:*  Strippers in the declining world of
Burlesque. Ages--- 30-55  All should  move well and sing (altos) Ability to
play bugle/trumpet (Mazeppa) a+ These women may be called upon to play
other roles as well.(Cameos)



*CHARACTER MEN:  *Track 1:  Uncle Jocko/Cigar    Track 2: Weber/Phil
Track 3: Mr. Goldstone/Pasty Track 4:  Pop/Mr. Kringelein    Good character
actors  age ranges  30-60's   (Cameos)



*FARMBOYS:  *L.A., YONKERS, ANGIE, AUSTIN, JOEY:  Ages---15-25  Good
dancer/singers who can do tap. Are the "boys" in the act. Nice, clean cut
boys looking to dance on Broadway. (Cameos)



*HOLLYWOOD** BLONDES:* (# TBD)  Ages---- 16-22  Decent
movers/singers  AGNES is a featured HB in scenes requiring good comedic
ability (a la Gracie Allen/Georgia Engel) Cameos.



*CHILDREN'S ROLES:*

*BABY JUNE:   *Age plays 9-11  Strong vocal and dance ability.  TAP & POINT
SKILLS desired.  Must be very bubbly and be able to play "over the top".
(Supporting)



*BABY LOUISE: * Age plays 10-12   Good vocal and movement/dance
ability. Rather sullen child in the shadow of her sister who does not like
performing and wants a "normal" life.  (Supporting)



*NEWSBOYS: *(4-6)  Ages of 9-13  Singing/dancing/movement
abilities. Looking for boy who plays clarinet as well for "Clarence & his
Clarinet".  (Cameos)  CAN POSSIBLY PLAYED BY GIRLS ALSO!



*BALLOON GIRL*---- for Kiddie Show opening.  If tapper, will be used in
"traveling"(Cameos)
