Fort Salem Theater will hold auditions for *You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown*
on *Sunday, February 19th from 2PM-4PM*. Callbacks will be held by
invitation only as needed. Performers are asked to prepare approximately 1
minute of any Broadway or pop uptempo song that best showcases your voice.
All roles are open to actors of all ethnicities and gender identities.
Seeking performers ages teen through young adult. *If you are unable to

Rehearsals will begin March 26, 2023 and will typically be held Sundays
from 6PM-10PM, Monday-Thursday from 7PM-10PM and occasional Saturday
mornings, pending the availability of the cast and the needs of the show.
However, the actual schedule will be determined by the cast and director’s
availability. A full calendar will be provided by the first rehearsal. Each
actor will receive a minimum of two complimentary tickets. Actors who
participate in 2023 productions will also received a free 12-month
invitation to opening weekends for all MainStage productions. At this time,
housing, travel & performance stipends are not available.


*About the show:*
In this fun-for-the-whole family song and dance spectacular, Charlie Brown
and the entire Peanuts gang explore life's great questions as they play
baseball, struggle with homework, swoon over their crushes, and celebrate
the joy of friendship.

*CHARACTER BREAKDOWN*
*All roles listed are open to actors of all ethnicities and gender
identities.*

*CHARLIE BROWN:* Baritone. He is gentle, loving, insecure. A lovable loser
with endless determination and hope, but who often fails due to his
insecurities, interference from others, and a permanent case of bad luck.

*SNOOPY:* Tenor. He is Charlie Brown's pet beagle. Snoopy is owned and
cared for by Charlie Brown, although at times it is not clear who is in
charge. He is loyal, dramatic, genuinely happy, and blessed with a rich
fantasy life. He is more human-like than dog.

*LUCY VAN PELT:* Mezzo-Soprano. She is bossy, selfish, and a know-it-all.
She is not deterred by the fact that her information is often inaccurate.
She bullies and belittles others, especially Charlie Brown and Linus. She
does have a soft side, which is seen through her love for Schroeder.

*LINUS VAN PELT:* Baritone. He is Lucy’s little brother. Linus always means
well and tries to smooth over any storms that arise in the group. He is
kind-hearted, caring, and incredibly smart. In contrast to his intellectual
maturity is his reliance on his security blanket.

*SALLY BROWN:* Soprano. Charlie Brown’s younger sister. She is friendly and
sweet but can also be lazy and obsessive. Sally has a "take it easy"
approach to life, preferring to slide by while doing as little work as
possible. She is hopelessly in love with Linus.

*SCHROEDER:* Tenor. He has a precocious skill at playing the piano and an
incredible love of classical music and Ludwig van Beethoven. Lucy is
infatuated with Schroeder, but he refuses her because Beethoven was a
lifelong bachelor, and he feels he must emulate every aspect of his idol's
life. He is a close friend of Charlie Brown and is often the first one to
come to his defense. Note: Actor does not need to play the piano.
