> Budget Title: Community Relations Associate) Salary Range: Mid-30s<br>

> Responsibilities: Under the direction of the director of Rockefeller <br>
> Arts Center, this position promotes awareness of and attendance at a <br>
> wide variety of cultural events. Write, design and distribute press <br>
> releases, newsletters, brochures, flyers, postcards, posters and <br>
> emails. Publish event playbills. Create,<br>
> schedule and place newspaper, radio and cable TV advertising. <br>
> Update and maintain web site and email list. Oversee bulk mailings. <br>
> Train and supervise 1-3 student assistants/interns.<br>

> Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations, <br>
> marketing or related field and 1-3 years relevant experience. <br>
> Excellent writing/editing skills and proofreading abilities are <br>
> essential. It is also desirable to have: a) knowledge of the <br>
> performing and visual arts, b) familiarity with the principles of <br>
> effective layout and design, c) experience using one or more desktop <br>
> publishing and/or web authoring software packages (e.g.<br>
> Publisher, Quark, Dreamweaver, etc.)<br>

> Rockefeller Arts Center is a three-theater, two-gallery complex <br>
> hosting 175 public events annually. The operation of the center is <br>
> closely allied with SUNY Fredonia's undergraduate program in arts <br>
> administration. SUNY Fredonia is a comprehensive university of 5,500 <br>
> students, awarding bachelor's and master's degrees in 80 programs. <br>
> This position provides support to events sponsored by Rockefeller Arts<br>
<br>
> Center as well as selected programs of the Department of Theatre and <br>
> Dance, the School of Music and the Gallery.<br>
