CONFETTI STAGE ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR THE REGIONAL PREMIERE OF
MARY
MILLER's AWARD WINNING PLAY A MATTER OF GRACE

A Matter of Grace
exposes the ugly side of the American economy: the
downsizing, the greed, and
the games we play with other people's lives.

A modern day Faust, the
story hinges on a bet. A deal is made between
Joanne Lugano, the advertising
sales director at a small cable TV
network, who has sacrificed everything for
her career and having hit
the glass ceiling is now driven only by the amount
of pain she can
inflict upon others, and her assistant, Ann McKenzie, a
single woman
in her late thirties struggling to keep a job in a career she
never
wanted in a world she never envisioned. The rippling effects of
this
bet envelop the lives of everyone in the office and beyond,
ultimately
entrapping Joy, a homeless woman on the streets of Manhattan,
who
becomes their unwitting victim in this cat-and-mouse game of life
and
death.

Through the lives of three women we watch as they gradually
switch
places, reversing roles, as their dialogue overlaps and their
lives
mirror one another in ways that blur the line between the rich and
the
poor - "there but for the grace of God go I."

CHARACTERS AVAILABLE
