size=3>Based on Louisa May Alcott’s classic 1869 semi-autobiographical novel, it
focuses on the four March sisters - feisty, tomboyish, aspiring author Jo,
romantic Meg, pretentious Amy, and kind-hearted Beth - and their beloved Marmee,
at home in Concord, Massachusetts while the family patriarch is away serving as
a Union Army Chaplain during the Civil War. Intercut with the vignettes in which
their lives unfold are several recreations of the melodramatic short stories Jo
writes in her attic studio.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>A
recent Broadway musical, this transformative take on the classic novel received
a Tony Award and three Drama Desk Awards. </FONT></P>

passionate young woman, age 19. This is her story and her journey. The story
centers around her life, from the Christmas that it all started, to the
publishing of “Little Women” and her engagement to Professor

(Theodore Laurence III) – A young, and often hopeless, boy-next-door, age 16. He
loves Jo dearly during Act One, but quickly is rejected when he proposes. He
later travels to <st1:place w:st="on">Europe</st1:place> and meets, Amy, who he
falls in love with.</FONT></FONT></P>

youngest sister and rather whiney individual, she has a rather pompous manner,
and by that, she rides into society. She marries Laurie.</FONT></FONT></P>

second youngest sister. Dies of Scarlet Fever. She is a peace-maker, and always

strong mother. She is the backbone of the family. Her songs show how truly
