<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 13pt; font-family: "Lucida Grande";"><b>Arty</b><span> </span>(actor appears to be 12-15 years old)
is the younger brother of Arty. He is quick-witted and sharp tongued.<span> </span>Grandma thinks he is “the smart one.” </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 13pt; font-family: "Lucida Grande";"><b>Eddie</b>
(40-50 years old)<span> </span>is the father of
Jay and Arty, and older brother to Louie and Gert. He is raising his boys alone
after the death of his wife while paying back debt owed to a loan shark and
pleasing his strict mother. He tries to be an agreeable son despite his
deep-seeded anger towards his mother. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 13pt; font-family: "Lucida Grande";"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 13pt; font-family: "Lucida Grande";"><b>Bella</b>
(35-40 years old) is Grandma Kurnitz's mentally impaired daughter and the aunt
of Jay and Arty.<span> </span>Bella has lived
at home all her life and is now taking care of her aging mother while trying to
seek a romantic relationship. Often confused, overly enthusiastic and tender. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 13pt; font-family: "Lucida Grande";"><b>Grandma
Kurnitz</b> (appears 70-odd years old) is the mother of Eddie, Bella, Louie and Gert.<span> </span>A strict, strong and fiercely guarded
woman, Grandma is a woman of few words who speaks in a heavy German
accent.<span> </span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 13pt; font-family: "Lucida Grande";"><b>Louie</b><span> </span>(36-40 years old) is the brother of
Eddie, Bella and Gert and is the toughest of the Kurnitz children.<span> </span>He is a henchman for the mob. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 13pt; font-family: "Lucida Grande";"><b>Gert</b><span> </span>(35-40 years old) is the sister of
Eddie, Bella and Louie.<span> </span>As a
result of her mother’s harsh parenting, she has a breathing problem that causes
her to start each sentence breathing out and to end her sentences breathing in.</span></p>
