Contestants have a chance to win the top prize of $250, second prize of $150, third prize of $100 plus a $100 People’s Choice award, to be decided by audience vote.</FONT></FONT></STRONG></SPAN>
<P style="BACKGROUND: white" class=ecxecxecxecxmsonormal><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Garamond; COLOR: #444444"><FONT size=4 face="garamond, new york, times, serif"><STRONG>Master of ceremonies for the event will be SMT’s Chris Cucinella, who will also perform during the show. A panel of five judges from the region’s theater and arts community will grade competitors on a list of performance criteria. The number of performers will be limited to fifteen. Each must provide his or her own musical accompanist or track. Songs of any genre are acceptable, at five minutes or less in length. Content and performance must be appropriate for all ages. Those selected to compete will be required to attend one dress rehearsal the week preceding the show. <I>Auditions will be held at Northville Central School auditorium on Wednesday, July 14<SUP>th</SUP> and Thursday July 15<SUP>th</SUP> from 7 to 9pm. </I>Prospective contestants should contact SMT by telephone at (518) 863-8852 or 863-8600 to schedule audition time.
