<P ALIGN=JUSTIFY><SPAN LANG="en"><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">Capital Repertory Theatre’s Summer Theatre At the Rep (S.T.A.R.) is a 5-week summer theatre intensive (based on New York State Education Department’s Learning Standards for the Arts) that allows up to 30 area youth (aged 12-16) to explore the world of theatre. Students work with professional artists to develop their own original work, gaining skills in writing, costume and set design, dancing, acting, and singing, and the program culminates in a series of performances offered free to the community. Participants learn to work cooperatively with each other and with professional staff – right in the theatre. S.T.A.R. 2011 will explore the theme of The Art of Social Networking.</FONT></SPAN></P>
<P ALIGN=JUSTIFY><SPAN LANG="en-us"><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">This year’s dates are July 5 – August 7, 2011; 8:30-4:30 PM. Rehearsals take place at the Egg and performances will take place on the Capital Rep stage. Tuition is $850.
