<p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Synopsis</strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Set in the 1950’s, Tony Wendice plots to murder his wife,
Margot, due to an affair she is having with Max Halliday.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>The plot involves blackmailing petty
criminal Captain Lesgate into doing the deed.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</span>But the plan goes awry and Lesgate gets killed by Margot in the struggle.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Tony then must adjust his plans as Inspector
Hubbard investigates the death of Lesgate. </p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Tony Wendice</strong>: 30-40.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">

insecure.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Former tennis star, now
passed his prime.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Margot Wendic</strong>e: 25-35.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</span>American accent.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>In our version,
we are looking to have Margot show more attitude and personality than the Grace
Kelly interpretation.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Should be healthy
looking and will wear a vintage 1950’s hairstyle. </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><strong> </strong></p><strong>
</strong><p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Max Halliday</strong>: 25-35. American accent.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Healthy looking.<span style="mso-spacerun:
yes"> </span>Smart, mystery writer.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Is
having an affair with Margot, but must put up with her wishy-washy attitude
towards her husband.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Though he is a
rival to Tony, he befriends him briefly, but then starts to uncover his scheme.

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Captain Lesgate</strong>: 30-45.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</span>English accent.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>A thief and
con-man,<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>though reluctant to commit
murder.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>He attempts to kill Margot, but
he gets killed in the process.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>A
medium-sized part, Lesgate has one scene with a lot of dialogue and another
scene with a lot of physical activity, but no dialogue. </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Inspector Hubbard</strong>: Not age specific.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>English or Scottish accent.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>In our version, he will be understated.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>While there is the potential for the ending
to have a degree of camp, our goal will be to maintain a serious tone and the
performance of the actor playing Inspector Hubbard will be key to that
goal.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">In addition, there will be several small cameo roles, some
on-stage and some voices heard from off-stage (that may be potentially
pre-recorded.)<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>If you are unable to
commit to a full rehearsal schedule, but have some interest in one of these
