psychological thriller <em>The Innocents</em>.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> 
</span>Written by William Archibald, based on <em>Turn of the Screw</em> by Henry James.

<p class="MsoNormal">It runs March 23, 24, 25, 30, 31, April 1. </p>

<p class="MsoNormal"> </p>

<p class="MsoNormal">We need to cast two specters, one male and one female.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </span>There are no lines in these parts, but they
are key to the story.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </span>This is a tale of
two orphans who are “haunted” by two deceased people, and there is ambiguity as
to whether it is a literal haunting or a figurative haunting.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"> </p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The male is the ghost of Peter Quint, the villain of the
story.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </span>A commanding presence at the
house when he was alive, he “corrupted” the two youths.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </span>Age range can go anywhere up to 45.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The female is that of Miss Jessel.<span style="mso-spacerun:
yes">  </span>She is more of a tragic figure, a former governess who also was
corrupted.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </span>Should have a healthy look
and not appear any older than 30. </p>

<p class="MsoNormal"> </p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Rehearsal time will be minimal for these parts.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </span>Two dress rehearsals are March 19 and
21.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </span>Actors should arrange to attend one
or two rehearsals prior to that.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">  </span>These
are ideal parts for people who want to be in a show, but cannot commit the time
