<br></div><div dir="ltr">Synopsis: </div><div dir="ltr"><span style="font-family:Noteworthy;font-size:18px;font-weight:bold;line-height:24px">Set in the fabulous '50s, this is a nuclear love tale of a sweet teenage Gidget-type girl named Toffee and the "rebel without a cause" Jonny. When the unlikely pair suddenly fall in love at Enrico Fermi High School, the principal Miss Delilah Strict seeks to intervene and persuade Toffee to distance herself from the troublesome Jonny Warner. When young Toffee is forced to give in, Jonny sends himself straight into the Nuclear power plant located seconds from the school. Toffee can't help but mourn her high school sweetheart, until he returns...as a NUCLEAR ZOMBIE! Just when things seem like they cannot get worse the slick and sensational news reporter, Eddie , shows up to get the scoop, but soon finds his old love...Delilah Strict! What ensues is a series of unfortunate events that seems to bring chaos and disorder into the halls of the Enrico Fermi high school. With a whacked out principal who won't have the chaos, a reporter dying to find the truth, a zombie in love, and a very confused girl, how will this saga end? <div dir="ltr"><span><br></span></div><div dir="ltr"><span>Encore Theatrical will be holding auditions, for their first youth production this January!! We are looking for students grades 9-12 from all over the Capital Region, to fill eight roles in this quirky musical comedy about love after life! Encore Theatrical is proud to announce that we are not only a TUITION FREE youth company but we are also offering several educational oppertunities in this production! In addition to working with the production team the students will also get the oppertunity to work one on one with the professioal actors playing Delilah Strict & Eddie Flagrante, who will be announced upon casting. There will be a series of four workshops over the rehearsal period of two months, they will consist of:</span></div>
<div dir="ltr"><span><br></span></div><div dir="ltr"><span>1) Audition Workshop-One on one audition techniques with the production staff, from how to prepare and choose an audition song, what to wear, how to write up a resume and even a mock audition and critique!</span></div>
<div dir="ltr"><span><br></span></div><div dir="ltr"><span>2) Performance Arts workshop- The students will get to work with a very special guest who has a BFA in musical theater, a professional actress who has worked in all forms of the stage. She will be coming in for a 3 hour workshop and will work with the students on technique and prepare them for there big opening! Students can also expect to perform with her, and even get critique on there performances.</span></div>
<div dir="ltr"><span><br></span></div><div dir="ltr"><span>3) Dance workshop- Our choreographer will be doing a special workshop on modern and hip-hop dance technique, where our students will get to work on something other then the choreography from the show. They will learn and perform two dance numbers from select hip-hop numbers and musicals!</span></div>

For this workshop our students will have the oppertunity to work personally with the adult actors playing Eddie Flagrante & Delilah Strict. They will get to ask questions, learn, and work, with the adult actors to further imporve there experience and add to the characters they are playing. </span></div>

Dance callbacks and readings will be Thursday the 24th, from 7-10. There will be an extended callback for Jonny & Toffee on Friday the 25th for singing and more readings, this will be from 7-9PM. Students should prepare 16-20 bars of a musical theatre pop-rock contemporary piece, please pick something that shows off your range. Songs from the show are welcomed and even encouraged. Headshots and resumes are welcomed but not mandatory. </span><br>

For the month of February they will be: Sunday/Monday & Wednesday/Thursday from 6-9PM: ALL MUSIC AND CHOREOGRAPHY will be learned first. For the month of March we will begin blocking with the same days for rehearsals, but times will change from 6-9, to 7-10. Full runs with dress begin Monday April 1st and run through Friday the 5th-runs will be from 630-10. The students will have that Saturday & Sunday off, Monday April 8th begins Tech week-Full runs with the band from 630-10. THESE dates like show dates are mandatory.</span></div>
