The RPI Players, a student-run community theatre on the campus of
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, announce auditions for their
spring musical:<br>

<i>"Based on the original book and concept by Peter Stone, the
musical is a send-up of backstage murder mystery plots. Set in
1959 Boston, Massachusetts, </i>Curtains <i>follows the fallout
when the supremely untalented star of "Robbin' Hood of the Old
West" is murdered during her opening night curtain call. It is up
to a police detective who moonlights as a musical theatre fan to
save the show, solve the case, and maybe even find love before the
show reopens, without getting killed himself!"</i><br>
<br>
Auditions will be held on <b>Monday, February 4th</b> and <b>Tuesday,
February 5th</b> <b>at </b><b>6pm</b>, with signups starting at
5:30. Callbacks, if necessary, will be held on<b> Wednesday,
February 6th </b><b>at </b><b>6pm</b>. All auditions will be at
the RPI Playhouse on 15th Street in Troy, NY.<br>
<br>
Please prepare approximately 16 measures from a Broadway song
(excluding music from <i>Curtains</i>) which best showcases your
talent and vocal range. An accompanist will be provided, but you
must bring sheet music for the accompanist. No a cappella auditions
will be permitted.<br>
<br>
Readings will be provided. Please come dressed appropriately for a
dance portion of the audition.<br>
<br>
Performance dates are April 19, 20, 25, 26, and 27 at 8pm, and April
21 at 2pm.<br>
