Troy, NY - February 7th, 2014 - The RPI Players are looking for directors for their mainstage production of Dracula by Stephen Dietz to be performed November 14th, 15th, 16th, 21st and 22nd of 2014 and their Spring Musical, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels with Music and Lyrics by David Yazbek and Book by Jeffrey Lane, to be performed April 24th, 25th, 26th, 30th, 31st, and May 2nd of 2015. Performances will be in the RPI Playhouse on 15th Street in Troy, NY.</font><div>
<div><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><br>Dracula:</font></div><div><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="line-height:17px">This new adaptation restores the suspense and seduction of Bram Stoker's classic novel to the stage. As Count Dracula begins to exert his will upon the residents of London, they try to piece together the clues of his appearances—in a valiant attempt to save themselves from a hideous fate. Rich with both humor and horror, this play paints a wickedly theatrical picture of Stoker's famous vampire.</span><span style="line-height:19.1875px"> </span><br>
</font></div><div><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><br></font></div><div><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Dirty Rotten Scoundrels:</font></div><div><font face="arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="color:rgb(51,51,51);line-height:15px">Based on the popular 1988 film, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels</span><span style="color:rgb(51,51,51);line-height:15px"> centers on two con men living on the French Riviera. Lawrence Jameson makes his lavish living by talking rich ladies out of their money. Freddy Benson more humbly swindles women by waking their compassion with fabricated stories about his grandmother's failing health. After meeting on a train, they attempt to work together only to find that this small French town isn't big enough for the two of them. They agree on a settlement: the first one to extract $50,000 from a young female target, heiress Christine Colgate, wins and the other must leave town. A hilarious battle of cons ensues that will keep audiences laughing, humming and guessing to the end!</span><br>
