Theater for Children (STC) announces auditions for its 2016 touring production.
STC is seeking adults and young adults (teen age 16 and above) to join
the Spring troupe. Must have availability during daytime hours from
January to June. </span></p>

Please <u>do not</u> prepare a musical audition piece. Actors will sing from selected simple songs to test range. There is
no compensation for actors performing in the company.<br>

The Schenectady Theater for Children (STC) is a not-for-profit, adult volunteer
company entering its 49th season of bringing educational and entertaining
theater to the youth of the Capital District. Combining humor, music, and
action, STC performs at schools, libraries, museums, and other venues to
deliver messages which are important to students.</span></p>

The Spring 2016 troupe will be presenting <i>The Bremen Town Musicians </i><span> </span>written by Pat Hale.</span><span style="color:black;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;font-size:10pt"> Based on a
German folk tale by the Brothers Grimm, it tells the story of four animal
friends that set out on a journey together and end up forming a band. In their
search for fame and fortune, they find out <span> </span>about consequences, and a lot about
themselves, as they outwit a band of thieves and kidnappers. Children of
all ages will enjoy this show, from the action and music, to the silliness of
talking animals. They will see that every action has a consequence and that
thinking things out first is always a good idea.</span></p>
