All students who register will be cast in our production of INTO THE WOODS JR. to be performed at the Spa Little Theater. Performances will be open to friends, family, and the general public. No experience is necessary; children of all levels and experience are welcome.</span><span style='font-family:"Franklin Gothic Book","sans-serif";background:yellow;mso-highlight:yellow'><o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify;text-indent:.5in;line-height:150%'><span style='font-family:"Franklin Gothic Book","sans-serif"'>Be careful what you wish for as this cockeyed fairytale comes to life in this adaptation of the groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning musical featuring all of your favorite classic Brothers Grimm characters. It centers on a baker and his wife who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the king's festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. In the end, their journey will leave them changed forever.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify;text-indent:.5in;line-height:150%'><span style='font-family:"Franklin Gothic Book","sans-serif"'>The youth conservatory is directed by Laurie Larson and Olivia Larson. Laurie’s previous directing credits at HMT include the Theatre for Families productions of <i>Miracle on 34th Street, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Charlotte’s Web, </i>and 10 Youth Musical Theater Conservatory productions, most recently including <i>Legally Blonde Jr</i>. As an actor on the HMT stage, she has been a member of the casts of <i>Urinetown, Something’s Afoot,</i> and <i>A Man of No Importance</i>. Laurie is a theater and choral teacher at Ballston Spa High School and has a private vocal studio specializing in musical theater technique and literature. Olivia is currently in college studying for a directing and choreography degree. She will be attending the University of Southern Mississippi next year to further her education in theater. This year, she has become more active in community theater by preforming in HMT's <i>Miracle on 34th Street</i> and Lights Up Productions’ <i>Dog Fight</i>. This is her 12<sup>th</sup> year participating in the Conservatory, including playing the role of Narrator in <i>Into the Woods Jr</i> 10 years ago at the age of nine.
