In these clips Robert Duvall, David Mamet, Carry Grant and Sydney Pollack share insights into the techniques they've learned from Sanford. We’ll also visit Michael Caine’s acting workshop, Larry Moss working with USC directors, as well as two LA based acting and directing coaches. I’ve made these free because I truly believe it will help anyone motivated enough to study them. This starts Monday October 3rd, at The Linda, WAMC’s performing arts studio, Albany NY. This will run from 6 - 8:45pm. This is a collaborative workshop that will provide both technique and camera time to actors and directors. We’ll do script breakdowns and work together to uncover subtext, character backstory and define emotional events. We’ll work on scenes and spend significant time working on making adjustments and dialing in performances. We’ll work on film style, TV prompter style as well as spokesperson style performances. This will also include camera blocking and auditioning.

Through the years I’ve received many benefits, made a good living and acquired some awards as a result of learning and using these techniques.

I’d love to see you in the workshop, but if that’s not doable, please check out the video series.
