The tale follows the King of Navarre and three of his men (Berowne, Dumaine, Longaville) as they attempt to take an oath to forswear the company of women. They devote themselves to studying and fasting for three years. It becomes increasingly difficult for them as the Princess of France and her ladies arrive, wishing to speak to the King.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18674" dir="ltr"><br id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18675"></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18676" dir="ltr"><b id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18677"><i id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18678">Characters: </i></b></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18679" dir="ltr"><b id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18680">Ferdinand</b> - King of Navarre (40s or older)</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18681" dir="ltr"><b id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18682">Berowne</b> - An outspoken lord attending to the King (mid 20s-40s)</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18683" dir="ltr"><b id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18684">Longaville</b> - A lord attending to the King (mid 20s-40s)</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18685" dir="ltr"><b id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18686">Dumaine</b> - A lord attending to the King (mid 20s-40s)</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18687" dir="ltr"><b id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18688">Princess of France</b> - Becomes the Queen of France later in the story (30s-50s)</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18689" dir="ltr"><b id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18690">Rosaline</b> - A witty lady attending to the Princess (20s-40s)</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18691" dir="ltr"><b id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18692">Maria</b> - A lady attending to the Princess (20s-40s)</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18693" dir="ltr"><b id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18694">Katherine</b> - A lady attending to the Princess (20s-40s)</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18695" dir="ltr"><b id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18696">Boyet</b> - An elderly, gossipy lord attending to the Princess (40s or older)</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18697" dir="ltr"><b id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18698">Marcade</b> - Messenger from France </div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18699" dir="ltr"><b id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18700">Don Adriano de Armado</b> - A Spanish braggart who thinks himself greater than he really is</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18701" dir="ltr"><b id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18702">Moth</b> - Armado's sharp-tongued page</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18703" dir="ltr"><b id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18704">Sir Nathaniel</b> - The local curate</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18705" dir="ltr"><b id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18706">Holofernes</b> - The schoolmaster</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18707" dir="ltr"><b id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18708">Dull</b> - The local constable </div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18709" dir="ltr"><b id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18710">Costard</b> - Rivals Armado for the affections of Jaquenetta</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18711" dir="ltr"><b id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18712">Jaquenetta</b> - A country wench</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18713" dir="ltr"><b id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18714">Forester</b> - A man attempting to keep up with the Princess' games of wit</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18715" dir="ltr"><br id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18716"></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18717" dir="ltr">- Ages are flexible for most characters unless otherwise indicated.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18718" dir="ltr">- We welcome all experienced applicants regardless of race, ethnicity, or physical ability. </div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18719" dir="ltr">- This is a non-equity, volunteer production.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18720" dir="ltr">- You must be available 3 or 4 days a week for rehearsals starting around 7pm.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18721" dir="ltr">-This show will be part of the annual Classic Theater Guild Summer Festival.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18722" dir="ltr"><br id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18723"></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18724" dir="ltr">If you have any questions, you can contact the director (Phil Bruns) at 518-894-8085, or email him at phillipbruns@yahoo.com. </div><div id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18725" dir="ltr"><br id="yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1495509614500_18726"></div><div id="yiv4015032661yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1494805800578_10451" dir="ltr">Thanks, and we hope to see you there!</div></div></body></html>
