<div dir="ltr"><div>Director and musical director calls for the 89th Season of the RPI Players are open! </div><div><br></div><div>The RPI Players is a student run community theatre on the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute campus. We have two upcoming main stage productions currently looking for directors and a musical director. The shows will be perfomed in the RPI Playhouse located on 15th St in Troy, NY. </div><div><br></div><div>To apply for either of the following shows as director or musical director please send your theatre resume and a cover letter to the RPI Players at <a href="mailto:rpi-players@rpi.edu">rpi-players@rpi.edu</a>. These calls will close on May 2nd. Applicants will be contacted for an interview shortly after applying.</div><div><br></div><div><b>Our fall play will be Drinking Habits written by Tom Smith</b></div><div><b>Performance Dates:</b> November 9th, 10th, 11th, 16th, and 17th, 2018</div><div><b>Description:</b> Accusations, mistaken identities, and romances run wild in this traditional, laugh-out-loud farce. Two nuns at the Sisters of Perpetual Sewing have been secretly making wine to keep the convent’s doors open, but Paul and Sally, reporters and former fiancees, are hot on their trail. They go undercover as a nun and priest, but their presence, combined with the addition of a new nun, spurs paranoia throughout the convent that spies have been sent from Rome to shut them down. Wine and secrets are inevitably spilled as everyone tries to preserve the convent and reconnect with lost loves.</div><div><b><br></b></div><div><b>Our spring musical will be Sweeney Todd with book by Hugh Wheeler, music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim</b></div><div><b>Performance Dates: </b>April 12th, 13th, 14th, 18th, 19th, and 20th, 2019</div><div><b>Description:</b> An infamous tale, Sweeney Todd, an unjustly exiled barber, returns to nineteenth century London, seeking vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop, above which, he opens a new barber practice.
