altercation brings together two sets of parents for a meeting to resolve the
matter. At first, diplomatic niceties are observed, but as the evening
progresses, tensions emerge and the gloves come off. There are tears, tantrums,
name calling and violence, as the conventions of polite society break down to
reveal the brutality beneath the polished middle-class exteriors of the Novaks
and the Raleighs.</span></p><p class="font9" style="text-align:center;line-height:18.6pt" align="center"><span class="color15"><br></span></p>

and earthy, perhaps a bit Neanderthal, at first seems to be mild and agreeable.
Although later in the play he appears to be a warrior, he is in fact terrified
of his daughter’s hamster. He owns a wholesale domestic hardware
business….plumbing parts.</span></p>

<p class="font9" style="text-align:center;line-height:18.6pt" align="center"><span class="color15"><b>Veronica Novak, 35-50;</b> Mother of the victim, she is a
humorless, although caring earth-mother type who turns into a wild-woman. She
is controlling and judgmental with a false sense of civility. She is a writer
specializing in Africa and works part-time in an art history bookshop.</span></p>

<p class="font9" style="text-align:center;line-height:18.6pt" align="center"><span class="color15"><b>Alan Raleigh, 35-50;</b> A boorish lawyer for a drug company.
A true alpha male who is secretly proud of his bully son. He agrees that his
boy is a savage, but seems disinterested in the conversation about the two
boys. Much to the annoyance of the others, especially his own wife, he is
constantly on his cell phone discussing business.</span></p>

<p class="font9" style="text-align:center;line-height:18.6pt" align="center"><span class="color15"><b>Annette Raleigh, 35-50;</b> A tightly wound wealth management
professional who strives to be appropriately contrite on behalf of her son. She
is sensitive but anxious and is prone to panic attacks. Eventually the other
three turn on her, agreeing that she is a phony who does not actually care
about the situation, but only about appearances.</span></p><p class="font9" style="text-align:center;line-height:18.6pt" align="center"><span class="color15"><br></span></p>
