<div><div><div style="font-family: times new roman, new york, times, serif; font-size: 16px;">For a unique take on the Shakespeare classic, Kaaterskill Actors Theater seeks an actor and an actress to portray Theseus and Hippolyta. The production will be a ballet/theatre hybrid, with only the rude mechanicals and Theseus and Hippolyta speaking; all of the other characters will be portrayed by ballet dancers (who will not speak). Thus, Theseus' and Hippolyta' roles are greatly expanded from the original play. They will serve as narrators, observers and have their own discussions of love taken from the text of the play.</div><div style="font-family: times new roman, new york, times, serif; font-size: 16px;"><br clear="none">These actors should be attractive, in their '30's and have Shakespeare experience, as well as gravitas. Performances are August 17 and 18 at the Orpheum Film & Performing Arts Center in Tannersville. Rehearsals start in mid-June and are weekends only. Some pay.<br clear="none"></div><div style="font-family: times new roman, new york, times, serif; font-size: 16px;"><br clear="none"><div>Please send pictures and resumes to Jim Milton at kaaterskillactors@yahoo.com. </div><div><br></div><div>Publicity blurb below.<div><br clear="none" id="ydp8cd58aa2yiv0162126236ydp25b143c1yiv1143898756yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1557235906572_46365" style="color: rgb(38, 40, 42);"><span id="ydp8cd58aa2yiv0162126236ydp25b143c1yiv1143898756yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1557235906572_46366" style="color: rgb(38, 40, 42);">Local children and students of The Catskill Mountain Foundation Dance Program get the opportunity to don gossamer wings and join dancers from the country’s most elite dance programs onstage in Shakespeare’s A Midsummer’s Night Dream. With comedic scenes and narration from Jim Milton’s Kaaterskill Actor’s Theater, charming choreography by Margo Sappington and Eugene Petrov and the magical Mendelssohn score, this unique production, conceived by Victoria Rinaldi, will transport the audience to an enchanted wood to witness what hilarity unfolds when fairies meddle with the love lives of mortals. All ends well with a triple wedding and gala ballet, making the evening a perfect combination of spoken word and dance.</span></div></div></div></div><br></div></div></body></html>
