COMPANY is a seasonal program now in its eighteenth year under the Ballston
Area Recreation Commission, aka, BARC in Ballston Spa, New York, and the
executive direction of Nora Osuchowski. BARC was established in 1952 with the
goal of providing low-cost recreational programs to families in the Ballston
Spa School District and surrounding area, so participants & their families
can participate in a variety of recreational, educational & athletic
activities. This is accomplished through support from the Towns of Milton,
Malta, & Ballston, and the Village of Ballston Spa, as well as support from
the Ballston Spa Central School District.</span></i><i><span style="font-family:"Arial Narrow",sans-serif;color:black"></span></i></p>
<h4 style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><strong style="font-family:Times;font-size:10pt"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Arial Narrow",sans-serif;color:black">POSITION:</span></strong><span style="font-weight:normal;font-size:12pt;font-family:"Arial Narrow",sans-serif;color:black"> MUSIC DIRECTOR </span></h4>
<p style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Times"><strong><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Arial Narrow",sans-serif;color:black">STIPEND/ PAY SCALE:</span></strong><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Arial Narrow",sans-serif;color:black"> Per BARC Contract </span></p>
<p style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Times"><strong><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Arial Narrow",sans-serif;color:black">REQUIREMENTS:</span></strong><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Arial Narrow",sans-serif;color:black"> Bachelors and or substantial experience as a Music Director and or vocal coaching. Preferred </span><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Arial Narrow",sans-serif">strong piano
player and sight-reader; experience working with children ages 8-18, a plus. Must
have conducting and orchestra management skills.</span></p>
<p style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Times"><strong><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Arial Narrow",sans-serif;color:black">DESCRIPTION:</span></strong><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Arial Narrow",sans-serif;color:black"> </span><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Arial Narrow",sans-serif">Collaborate with the
director for season nineteen on the full-scale musical TBD; serving as Music
Director and Conductor for 40 to 50 students. Be a part of the entire process
from auditions to conducting the live performances. The Music Director will be
responsible for the teaching of the music to all the performers, while
providing independent vocal coaching. The Music Director will oversee hiring orchestra
members.</span></p>
<p style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Times"><strong><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Arial Narrow",sans-serif;color:black">DURATION:</span></strong><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Arial Narrow",sans-serif;color:black"> Part time schedule to be set up with the Artistic
Director. The program runs from June to August. </span></p>
<p style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Times"><em><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Arial Narrow",sans-serif;color:black">Show Performances:</span></em><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Arial Narrow",sans-serif;color:black"> August 12, 13, 19, and 20</span></p>
<p style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Times"><strong><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Arial Narrow",sans-serif;color:black;text-transform:uppercase">Benefits</span></strong><strong><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Arial Narrow",sans-serif;color:black">:</span></strong><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Arial Narrow",sans-serif;color:black"> Part-time
position, no health benefits. No housing provided for out-of-towners. No travel
stipend or reimbursement. </span></p>
