Rag Dolly

Presented by Bunbury Players

At Prince of Peace Lutheran Church

Written by the author of The Miracle Worker and the songwriter of “Sesame Street,” this musical originally premiered in Albany before a short run on Broadway. The story follows Marcella, a young girl dying of a mysterious illness, whose father crafts her a rag doll for comfort. In her dreams, his stories of the doll come vividly to life, guiding Marcella through grief and fear, as she and her new friends confront wolves, witches, and incompetent doctors on their quest to mend her broken heart. Having since achieved cult status and undergone revisions, the fantastical show returns to the Capital Region for its first fully staged production since its NYC run.
