Honorary Committee tickets are selling fast (1/3 of the house sold!) and
we have only been selling for 3 days so if you want to come join the
Honorary Committee or get on the regular ticket waiting list.  Joining
the Honorary Committee is also the only way to attend the “Meet the

A Grand Evening

Admission: Honorary Committee $100 (available now), Regular $50 (for
sale starting 4/16/07 pending availability)
 
5:30 pm –  “Taste of Albany” showcase of downtown Albany’s finest
restaurants.  Participating restaurants include Blue 82, Café Capriccio,
Envy Lounge, Jack’s Oyster House, Marché and Ristorante Paradiso.  A
selection of New York State wines will be provided by Harmony House
Marketplace of downtown Cohoes.
7:00 pm –  Staged reading of William Kennedy’s play Grand View, starring
Brian Dennehy as Patsy McCall. (To learn more about Grand View visit

9:30 pm –  “Meet the Author & Cast” VIP dessert and champagne reception.
(Admission limited to Honorary Committee members and Corporate Sponsors)
 
A Grand Evening is Capital Repertory Theatre’s grand finale to a
city-wide month and half long Celebration of William Kennedy, Albany’s
very own Pulitzer Prize-winning author who has made a name for himself
with his fictional and true accounts of Albany’s history and politics.

Mr. Dennehy has had a rich theatrical career and has appeared both in
the United States and internationally in dynamic stage productions
including Death of a Salesman (1999 Best Actor Tony® Award and a Drama
Desk Award), A Touch of the Poet, Long Day’s Journey into Night (2003
Tony® Award) and in Eugene O'Neill's heart wrenching play, The Iceman
Cometh. You may remember him as one of the benevolent aliens in
<http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088933/> Cocoon (1985 may have seen him
most recently on Law & Order: SVU.
 
Honorary Committee tickets are $100 per person and are currently on
sale.  Regular tickets will go on sale Monday, April 16, pending
availability, and will be $50.  Regular tickets will only include the
“Taste of Downtown” restaurant showcase and Grand View reading.  Those
who wish to purchase regular tickets before and want to increase their
chance of admission can call ahead to be put on a waiting list.
