Glove Theatre School Fall 2007

Classes begin Monday, September 10th.

 

Imagination Station K-2nd

Monday 5-6pm with Devan Rowe

Students will sing, dance, use their imagination, and gain confidence on
stage.  Students will prepare a monologue and perform an ensemble musical
number in final performance.

 

Children's Theatre 3-4th 

Monday 6-7pm with Devan Rowe

Dancing, acting, singing, and lots of fun.  Exploring the world of theatre
through team work.  Students will prepare a monologue and perform an
ensemble musical number in final performance.

 

Novice 5-6th 

Monday 7-8pm with Devan Rowe

Students will develop characterizations, interpret scenes, sing, and dance.
Students will prepare monologues and perform an ensemble musical number in
final performance.

 

Apprentice 7-8th 

Monday 8-9pm with Aaron Flynn

Engage body and mind to explore posture, voice, movement, and relaxation.
Students will explore the idea of 'living under imaginary circumstances',
not just playing the part, but being the part.  Students will prepare
monologues and perform an ensemble musical number in final performance.

 

Journeyman 9-12th 

Monday 7-8pm with Aaron Flynn

Students will investigate the many facets of musical theatre, prepare a
monologue, and perform an ensemble musical number in final performance.

 

Master Class 11-12th 

Monday 8-9pm with Emily Grant

For students interested in preparing for a lifetime involvement in theatre
arts.  Whether you plan to pursue a professional career in acting or
participate in community theatre, this class is for you.   Students will
work on portfolio pieces, auditioning techniques, and examine careers in
theatre.  Students will learn how to choose material appropriate to their
skills, and prepare a monologue and group scene for final presentation.  

 

Adult Workshop 

Monday 7-8pm with Emily Grant

Ever feel the need to be on stage?  This is your chance.  This relaxed, fun
class is for both new and experienced actors interested in developing their
talents on stage or for public speaking.  Meet weekly to work on stage
presence, diction, communicating concepts and emotions, interpreting the
script, self-assessment of strengths and weaknesses, and improvisation.
Guest instructors will bring new ideas, methods, and processes to the table.


 

 

K-12 classes will perform in the final performance and adult workshop
attendees are encouraged to participate.

 

All classes are $200 and meet on Monday evenings.
